What you will be doing
The position provides support for continuous improvement in facility wide operations and cost reduction activities.
Responsibilities for Continuous Improvement include continuous improvement through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Kaizen events; use of Lean tools; and driving classic improvement projects. Areas where improvement is to be driven are manufacturing operations, business processes, manufacturing facility administrative processes, and linkages with logistics, distribution centers and warehouses, product and product development groups, and suppliers.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in engineering or Operations Management; 2 - 5 years experience in Lean Manufacturing having led continuous improvement projects, Kaizen events and training of personnel in Lean Manufacturing concepts/tools; experience with deploying a Lean model based on or similar to the Toyota Production System; specific lean skills/knowledge needed are OEE, VSM, Standard Work, Kanban, One Piece Flow, TPM/TPR; Strong value stream management skills required; 2 - 5 years of direct manufacturing experience in discrete assembly processes; ability to work in leadership roles; understanding of costing structure and quantitative analysis; lean certification preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
